Students will read a scripted dialog to practice basic Arabic conversation related to the family. Student will us familiar vocabulary to ask and ask and answer questions.
Student will use the script to then plug in their own unique quesitons and resoponses.
Understand and reflect on cultural perspectives when discussing countries of origin.
Umar: Yaa Ali, min ayna Abuka? (Ali, where is your father from?)
Ali:Abee min Malaysia. (My father is from Malaysia.)
Umar: wa min ayna Ummuka? (where is your mom from?)
Ali: Ummee min a Seen. (My mom is form China.)
Eesa: Yaa Musa, min ayna Abuka? (Musa, where is your father from?)
Musa: Abe min Misr. (My dad is from Egypt.)
Eesa: wa min ayna Ummuk? (and where is your mom from?)
Musa: Ummee min aSudan. (My mom is from Sudan.)
Hamza:Yaa Usama, min ayna Abuka? (Usama, where is your father from?
Usama: Abee min al Yemen. (My dad is from Yemen.)
Hamza: wa min ayna Ummuka? (and where is your mother from?)
Usama: Umee min al Jazair. (My mom is from Algeria.
